Microsoft Open Value program with its two variants - Open Value (OV) and Open Value Subscription (OVS) - is the most straightforward and cost-effective way for small to midsized commercial, government, educational and eligible non-profit organisations to obtain the newest Microsoft technology. The minimum number of licences for an agreement is five.

With OV and OVS, you enjoy subscription-based and some perpetual Microsoft products on a 3-year contract with price protection, admin centre access and the flexibility to add products and services as you go over the existing agreement. Software Assurance included in the OV & OVs contracts provides advantages such as training, support and software upgrades.
After the end of the 3-year term, OV customers are owners of the licences. With the OVS you use the software only during the agreement term but you can buy out the licences at the end. OVS is suitable for business, government and educational organisations with changing needs as it allows cutting payment amounts when the number of employees declines.
